His pediatrician has always checked his teeth during doctor's visits and I have always kept up with his brushing and what he eats...But I was wondering when can I get a dentist for him?

  1. assoon as his first tooth is comin out

  2. you can take them as soon as they get-or dont get, if they are overdue- teeth. i never heard about fluoride pills, my doctor said there is enough in formula and water and too much can be bad.

  3. Bring him with you to the dentist the next time you go, so that he knows what the dentist is.  My dentist suggested I bring my kids at 3 with me, then make appointments for both of us the next time.  So, he should be seen by the time he turns 4.

  4. U can get a dentist for your child at age one. They wont do much for him at that age but thats when they can start tracking for cavities and maybe clean their teeth. My son started  going to the dentist in march of this year and he turned 2 in may. And it has been recommended that i give both my children polyvisol vitamins. Thats the liquid kind because those chewables work but not like the liquid kind. It gets into the system faster.
