I know if you start too young it stunts your growth, but isn't 15 a little high?

  1. u can start whenever u want but the best time to start is 16-18 depending on the person BUT ur right that's only for max mmuscle growth u wanna build strength u can start young but u wont get huge muscles just cuz ur younger u know it's al a myth with the growth c**p im 15 and just started working out..my friend has been working out since he was 13 so yea dont listen to ur school

  2. OMG we can lift weights at our middle schol and some people there are 11 including me and ive lifted weights b4 DANG!

  3. Depends on what your lifting. If you are just looking to stay in shape and tone up a bit it is usually fine. At such a young age however heavy weights could damage your growth plates and result in you not reaching your max height potential. Good old push-ups and chin-ups never did any harm, and they can make a huge difference in your fitness.

  4. I don't think guys stop growing until they're 20!

girls are a little younger, 2-3 years after their periods.

So if you stopped growing, you should be fine.

Theres a guy who started lifting when he was like 12?13. He was REALLY BUFF. but he's only like 5'3 because he lift so early.

  5. 13. when i took athletics in middle school we lifted weights w/ the coach
