At what age should you stop playing video games?

My friend's husband is 28 years old and still plays PS3 all day everyday. It's sickening. Shouldn't he be past this stage by now?

There is many rated M for mature video games, why should he stop?

It challenges the mind, improves your hand and eye cordination, it's entertainment rather than just sitting there on the couch and watching tv, flipping through channels.

Besides he has his job, you said he works M-F 9-5 job.

He should take brakes from them though, at least every now and then.

If he doesn't have a job at the age of 28 and plays video games, that's pretty childish. Sometimes it's ok to be a kid again, but that's just too much.

I asked my dad this question as he is 80 this year and still plays video games with his grandkids.  He said he'll stop playing them when he stops beating them!

Never have to stop, as long as it's a leisure activity and not a lifestyle, those guys who do that are pretty dysfunctional and smelly.
