  1. My son is 4 and is still gassy.  I have tried moving him to soy milk thinking he might be slightly lactose intolerant, but it hasn't made a difference.  He has been gassy since day 1.

My daughter doesn't seem to have the same difficulties (she is 2), though beans and broccoli get her fired up fast.  She was gassy at first, but if faded pretty fast.

  2. All babies are different.  Sometimes they outgrow it, but sometimes it can stay with them for a long time.

I had a very cranky gassy baby and I enrolled us in some infant massage classes, they were terrific in getting her to relax and pass some of that pent up gas.  I swear after those classes and massaging her at home she almost turned into a different baby.

    Good luck!

  3. Around this time.  When they start building muscle, through tummy time, the gas problems will go away.

I noticed a decrease at 3 months with my daughter.

Once they can sit up on their own and lift their head off the floor, it goes away.

I believe it's relative to positioning and muscle control to expel the gas as weird as it sounds.

If you are a having a lot of problems with gas & your child is formula fed, try switching to Enfamil Gentlease and Dr Browns bottles. Worked for us.

    Good luck

  4. A boy with gas problems??  Who would've guessed.  Honey, I'd say his wife is going to be asking YOU that in 25 years. lol

If you mean that he has a gassy belly, try gas drops and see if that improves the situation.  Good luck.

  5. maybe he's sensative to whatever formula you are feeding him or if you are breastfeeding - what you are eating.  talk to your doctor about switching formulas or stop eating onions, garlic, broccoli, and other gassy foods.
