The velocity is 6.8 m/s.At what angle should the player kick the ball so that it lands 2 meters away.

the answers are 13 and 77 but i dont know why there are 2 angles?

I just need to know

  1. Look at the geometry. For max distance, the angle is 45 degrees. Go below that and the flatter arc gives you less range. Go above 45, and the high trajectory also gives you less range.

    The 13 degree angle gives you a flat trajectory. The 77 degree angle makes it a "pop up".

  2. because both angles will land the ball 2 meters away, one is 13 degrees away from 0 the other is 13 degrees away from 90


  3. Solve the range eq for Θ:

    Θ = ½arcsin[gR/V²]

    for every value of gR/V² between zero and 1, there are 2 values of Θ that satisfy this eq......

  4. its because if the angle is high, it will go very high, but wont go very far, and if the angle is low, it wont go very high, so it it wont go very far. if that makes any sense.
