At what degree does the weather feel hot to the elderly? 80 degrees and up?

i am realizing that the elderly dont feel hot and that is why they get heat exhaustion. they dont realize how hot it is. thanks

  1. I don't think the elderly get hot. My grandma is 80 years old and i have never heard her say she was hot. She wears flannel and a jacket when it is 85 degrees outside. She also dresses like she is in antarctica when the temp dips below 70.  She never uses the AC in the summer, and it sometimes reaches 100 degrees here.  To tell you the truth, i don't think the elderly ever get hot

It depends on the person.  Some people feel cold no matter how hot it is.  One day in the 90's, I was wearing a tank top and I was so hot, and my aunt was in a shirt with a jacket and wasn't hot.  As I get older, the heat bothers me more, but I guess as you get really elderly, the heat bothers you less.  At least that's what it looks like to me.
