At what grade....?

...do teachers teach cursive handwriting in pullic school? Is it second grade or third grade?

3rd Grade in Minnesota

third grade is usually when teachers start teaching it.  I know some who have started teaching it to their 2nd graders who had already mastered correct handwriting.  Unfortunately, the school where i teach, the kindergarten teacher does not teach her students how to properly form the letters of the alphabet or placement/size of letters and the students handwriting is atrocious.

In Illinois, we learned it in second grade ... by fourth, we never had to use it again. haha
