but she is very stocky like a QH. I am jumping about 2-21/2ft on her back and 3-31/2 lungeing. I think she can do more but don't want to push her or stress her out. She does great with Lines, jump turns, wide jumps ect. I want to push her to excellence without overjumping her.

  1. First of all, because you are asking this question you need to be working with an experienced trainer. You don't say how old your horse is, but I'm guessing she's on the younger side, and it is so easy to push a horse too far too quickly. Under the supervision of a qualified trainer, you can develop a program to improve your horse's fitness and evaluate her potential. But there's nothing anyone can say online without seeing the horse that can determine its scope.

  2. Your horse will be able to jump fairly high

this 13.3 hand pony can jump 4ft and can probably go a little higher

just dont push your horse to hard take it slow maybey get a trainer

  3. I ride the same height pony. I dont exactly fit him though but i wa the one who had to help teach him to jump.. He jumps 2'9 =3'3easily and fluently. Try it. Just warm up over some small fences and jack em up. It really depends on your horses stamina and endurance and muscle power. You can build your horse up to that if they dont already have it but i think he should be fine. but then shes short and sticky,..i dont know. but try it. if you really want to make sure shell be ok with higher jumps then talk to your vet and/or farrier. Would you like to jump higher with her? Just try it.

  4. well u cant determine the weight of a horse

over the internet but you can explain unhealthy baody mass.

as long as she isn't showing any ribs at all shes not starving.

but if when u run your hand along her side and

u can easily feel her ribs thats not good either.

you also dont want her over weight to where her blubber

shakes if she needs endurance for some thing like jumping.

like my two morgans i use for western and huntseat

on the Morgan curcuit and they like the round ones.

check with your vet and trainer to cordniate a good diet,

maybe shes already on it! :]
