There are 3 different divisions of atmoshere according to the layer characteristics, the 3 are temperature, functional, and chemical compund. In all 3 divisions, which do we live? I live in MN. And if I were to fly in an airplane do any of these layers change due to the altitude?

  1. We live in the lowest level of the lowest layer of the atmosphere called troposphere.

  2. there are actually 4 different layers of the atmosphere, the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, and thermoshpere. we live in the troposphere where most weather events occur. if you were to fly in an airplane, you will not exit the troposphere, however...in the troposphere temperature decreases with height so as you increase altitude it will become colder and the air would be much thinner (molecules are farther apart). hopefully i helped!
