  1. SPREAD

  2. You need to know how to play all 3 well, but focus more on limit and NL just because the spread limit games aren't as common.  Sometimes the most profitable games will be one or the other, and if you can't play them all you won't be making as much money.  If you want to be a pro poler player, you also need to know how to play all the HORSE games as well as 7-2 triple draw, Kansas City low ball, and any other popular variation of poker.

The most important thing you need to do is learn how to manage your bank roll.  Never risk more than 10% of your bankroll at any one time.  Keep your bankroll separate from your bill money, and make sure you always have enough to cover your bills for at least 6 months. Longer is better.  Don't move up in limits just because you can afford it if you can't win consistently against the better competition.  Doing this will just cost you money.  I would suggest staying away from the 3-6 limit live games and the micro limit on-line games since there are too many people who will chase to the river every hand because it won't cost them that much money and they don't now that it's stupid to call a 3 bet with a gut shot straight draw.

    Good luck

  3. Or you can just work a normal job so that you don't always have to worry about money, gamble for fun not money. when you get serious about it thats when it becomes a problem.

  4. you would be a lot better off getting a job. at least you won't loose your income.
