  1. Pace is normally expressed in minutes per mile so a 7:30 mile is a 7:30 pace.  If you want to know mph then it's 8 mph.

For training purposes, forget about your goal time.  Just go out and jog or jog/walk (i.e. a minute or so jogging followed by a minute of walking) for 20 to 25 minutes every other day.  Don't strain, do it at a comfortable pace for you. I recommend reading this article from Runnersworld

Every other week, check your time for the mile.  If you train consistently, you can get your time down.  Good luck.

Note, I have not given you splits to run a 7:30 mile.  They are easy enough to calculate.  However, the problem is that in order to run a 7:30 mile you need to be in a certain physical condition.  Your body is going to run what it is able to run.  The only way to get to 7:30 is to practice and then see what you can do.

  2. fast.. lol.. I don't know.. try it and find out. I walk a 13 minute mile.. so I guess you could run one in 7.30..you can do it.. you just have to get off the computer and start running.. like now.. and keep doing it each day until you reach your goal.

  3. Dont limit yourself to times. Just enjoy.

  4. You will have to run:

the first lap (or 400m) in 1:52.5 min

the second lap would bring you to 3:45 min

    the third to 5:37.5 min

and the final will be 7:30 min

I find that the best way to hit a target mile time is to write these goal splits on my arm and wear a simple stopwatch and go out to the track and try to hit them.  If you're really out of shape work on one lap at a time .... like trying to get as close to 1:52 as you can ... then try 2, then 3 laps on pace .... until you get your mile time.  don't forget to keep doing some easy longer runs to help you build endurance.

  5. A 7:30 mile is not too difficult to run.

I run track in school. And I am one of the worst on the team. I run a mile in 6:50. Which is so bad for track.

But its not that hard. All you have to do is be consistent and push yourself. Also work not only on your running but your core and strength training
