  1. change your habits, either eating, sleeping, exercise, stress triggers, etc.

  2. What you are experiencing is mostly physiological.  When you become really anxious you enter a 'fight or flight' state where your brain tells your body to get ready to either fight or flee.  The thoughts that accompany this process occurr generally because you are trying to rationalise them.  Anxiety is not nice and if you understand that what is happening to you is normal (if there are no pre-existing chemical imbalances in the brain or mental illness) then the way to turn it around is to acknowledge the feelings and do some deep breathing.  Also, if you are experiencing anxiety to this extent, it may be a good idea for you to learn more about what is causing you to be anxious, not to avoid the situation but to better understand how can approach it without the anxiety.  But relaxation and deep breathing are good for returning to a non-anxious state.

  3. Sleeping usually works for me.
