Is it based on weight? Mass? A combination of both? And does the animal's gender come into play at all?

Thanks.

  1. yes weight

  2. This is my definition, based on my experience, no documented facts whatsoever.

    sow=mama pig

    piglet=baby pig still nursing

    gilt=female before she has her first litter

    barrow=neutered male

    boar=un-neutered male

    Pig, in my opinion, is one that does what I want it to.  A hog is one that doesn't, usually with alot of foul language beforehand!

  11. hog-a domestic swine especially when weighing more than 120 pounds (54 kilograms); broadly : any of various wild and domestic swine

    pig-a young domesticated swine not yet sexually mature; broadly : a wild or domestic swine

  12. It is based on how much you drink sometimes they start out hogs but after a few drinks they become pigs. Then after a few more they become Christy Brinkley. Try it out.
