At what point does a woman become a cougar?

I say anything 10 years or above, unless you're a senior citizen. Then you're just glad to find somebody else with a pulse.

I would agree.  I have a friend who is 30, her husband is 20...I would consider her a cougar.

i say a woman is only a cougar if she TENDS to only or mostly go for younger men. if she just happened to like a guy who was younger, then that does not make her a cougar.

i also think it depends on her age. if she's in her 20s, then 5 years younger makes her a cougar. but if she's in her 40s, then i'd have to say probably 10-15 years. that's because their is a bigger difference maturity between a 27 year old and a 22 year old then between a 40 year old and a 45 year old.

also, if the preference is for underage or barely legal boys, then i would call her a boy lover, not a cougar.

There is nothing new about being a cougar.  Women for ages have partnered with much younger men.  So who cares at what point they are considered such.

I think you can assume the label when you start to act and dress like one...  Yes, age is also a requirement, but it is not the only deciding factor.
