At what point in going to court do you end up with a CCJ?

I am being chased for unpaid gym fees of £100 but because of the unsympathectic way in which they have treated my case i plan on calling there bluff and going to court. After all i dont stand to lose alot more than say the filling fee, letters sent out by the debt collection agency and the unpaid fees. My worry is that i will end up with a CCJ. If i took it to court and paid in full on the day having lost the case would i still have a CCJ against my name?

  1. Once you lose the case you will have the CCJ on record. But why care? This is a civil matter not criminal. The worse thing in losing is that the plaintiff will ask for attorney fees etc. which will likely exceed your unpaid gym fees.
