  1. I've cut way down on voluntary driving, and will get a motorcycle if gas were to go up to $8 or so,  but even at $20/gal I would make more at work than sitting at home.     Someone has to pay the goverment taxes.

  2. The biggest problem that I see with commuting to work is those that live so far away from the job.

mostly this is due to the more affordable housing is in the urban areas, and this is due to the development of industrial areas.

most of this is due to trying to restrict industrial pollution to one area.

for my self I have already restricted my voluntary driving, and I retired in January so work activities does not come into the option.

  3. no, i will find another way rather than give-up

  4. 5

  5. Already did. my cut off was $4.00

  6. What voluntary activities?  I dont have them anymore.  Quit work?  Are you nuckin futs?  I suppose your wondering how high gas would have to get for me to consecrate my family and I to living on the street because we couldnt affort to put gas into our rigs to get to work.  Looks like BK and Subway would have another application to look through if it ever got that bad.  Both those places are within walking distance.

  7. My job is only 3 miles away. Both my vehicles are V8 powered. I would say it would have to exceed $10 a gallon before I would think about making changes.
