  1. There is no specific speed where jogging changes to running.  It's just how you think of it.  Jogging could be faster than running certain distances.  Usually when jogging you don't want to completely burnout at the end.  Running is more distributing energy throughout the run or workout so at the end you have no energy left to keep going.  And you worked yourself to your potential.

  2. That completely depends on the person! There really isn't an answer to that no matter what anybody says because everybody has a different pace...my running pace is like my boyfriends jog...I've ran for a long time sooo...i guess if you wanting some sort of an answer then i guess i'd say...

Like a race pace is a running speed...consistancy!!  Jog is like a warm up!

  3. It depends on the distance.

Years ago  most marathoners thought that the line was running under 3 hours, that would give you a sub 7 minute mile pace.

So using that as a rule of thumb maybe running at 7 minutes per mile or faster is running, while running slower is jogging.

Mostly the difference between running and jogging is a state of mind.

Since different people have different abilities it depends on the amount of effort the runner is using as to whether they are jogging or running.

  4. It varies from individual to individual as per their threshold. The right speed for jogging is when you feel your forehead moistening a bit. Don't increase your speed any further. And when a sweat breaks out on your forehead that is the right speed of running for the individual. If you are sweating profusely, you are running too fast.Your threshold increases in cold weather. In hot weather you may start panting and sweating at a comparatively lower speed and shorter distance.

  5. depends on the person. when i was in shape about ~4.5 mph was jogging. and ~7 mph was running. to me jogging should be slow enough that u  feel like u could go for hours. and running i couldn't do for more than ~30 mins. i'm fat and outta shape now, so walking is my "jog" now and jogging is my "run". haha totally depends on the person.

  6. It's about heart rate and not speed.

I would say jogging is up to some 65% of your max heart rate.
