At what temp is the radiator fan on a 2001 zx9r supposed to kick on and off at?

Ok so ACTULLY the fan on the 01's should kick on at 215, stay on for 15 seconds. Turn on again at 220 and stay on for 10 seconds then come on once again at 230 and stay for another 10 seconds. If your temp goes over 235 then you need to shut the bike off because its WAY to hot.  That is for the 01's.  Now on newer bikes the temp can get higher because engine improvements.

(to the answer above) Even on a CBR though your fan shouldnt kick on at that hot, it should first hit at 225.  And if your bike gets past 240 then your gonna have some serious issues with your engine life.  I currently own an 2006 600 RR.

The fan on most sportbikes kicks in at around 230 degrees.  I have never owned a ninja but I have had a few CBR's over the years and 230 was the norm.
