  1. 0 °C or 32 °F or 273.15 K

Under standard conditions, pure water freezes at 0°Celsius, which is the same as 32 °Fahrenheit, which is 273.15 Kelvin.

Note that the melting point and the freezing point are exactly the same thing!

    Zero degrees Celsius

    32 degrees Fahrenheit

    0 degrees Celsius (or, Centigrade)

Saltwater has a much lower freezing point (the freezing point is the temperature where something freezes) than freshwater does. And the more salt there is in it, the lower the freezing point gets. So in order to know the exact temperature that it’s going to freeze, you have to know just how salty it is. For saltwater that’s as saturated as it can possibly get (i.e. there’s no way to dissolve any more salt in it no matter how hard you tried), the freezing point is -21.1 degrees Celsius. This is when the saltwater is 23.3% salt (by weight).

  2. Lil 'Ol Me is quite correct.  Her reference to "standard conditions" is important.  It denotes, among other things, that the melting/freezing point be done at a standard air pressure, because this vale changes if air pressure changes: most commonly through change in altitude.

  3. melting and freezong point is same for water.

  4. depends on the pressure.  Under surface conditions, 0°C is close enough to reality for most purposes.

Salt water (again under surface conditions) will have a freezing-melting point that varies with the amount and nature of the salt in the solution.  No direct answer is possible unless you specify the chemistry, but in almost all circumstances the melting point will be lower than the equivalent pure water melting temperature.

  5. 99.999999999999 degrees C

    not sure about salty water

  6. same temperature it freezes 0 degrees celcius

  7. Depends on what state it is in, solid or liquid.
