At what time do you consider it to be evening?

?.. 5 oclock, 4 oclock, 6 oclock? I answer phones and I am always undecided on when to change from Good Afternoon , to Good Evening! Thanks!

I consider after 5pm evening, but where your  job is concerned it might sound a little odd saying "Good evening" before 6pm.

funny- I waitress, and I will approach my first table of the day and say "Good Morning" or "good Afternoon" (we open at eleven) and THEY ALWAYS WANT TO CORRECT ME. Even if it is 11:59.
