  1. Milk can come in within 3 days of childbirth - after childbirth.

Several things can cause it to dry up - not drinking enough water/staying hydrated & discontinuing feedings are most common.

  2. Late pregenacy usually show's signs of breast milk starting, and then after the delivery or your baby the milk 'comes in' ....babies are fed on demand these days, which means the more you feed bubs the more milk is available...you can continue breastfeeding til your baby is 2 -3 years old if you really wanted to.

Also  women with high Prolactin levels in their hormone's can produce milk

  3. It typically starts within a day or two of giving birth. You wake up one day and they are hard and sore and leaking. The time that it quits is dependent on a lot of variables. I know of one woman who kept it going for 8 years. If a person stops breast feeding it will eventually dry up on it's own in a couple of weeks. Some women have theirs dry up due to bad diet. There is no actual set time that it goes away.

EDIT: did you know the mammary glands are just modified sweat glands? I just read about this the other day and it was fascinating.

  4. Hello this is my third son i breast feed i breast fed the first and second kids and now this is my third kid im breast feeding usualy the milk comes so much the 2nd or 3rd day after giving birth and the first couple days you should be drinking lots of water and milk and your son should be fed each 2 hours when he turns 2 weeks he should start latching each 30 to 35 minutes and by the time when he feels hungry he'll cry for the milk and you will get use to it and start knowing when he needs to be breast fed and you should eat well so the milk wont decrease or dry when you wean your son or want to stop feeding your baby the milk will increase in your breast for couple days and after a week it will get dry completely.
