Hi!

I'm going on a trip to South America (Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro & Santiago de Chile) and would like to know if there are any strict restrictions concerning nightlife. I'm 20 now, turning 21 in November (but will be in South America in July & August) and do of course want to go out in these countries.

  1. The countries you've listed have fairly liberal bar and club entrance policies unlike the US which is very strict.

You should have no issues with age restrictions since you are 20.  Have fun!

You might even be able to drink for free in Buenos Aires see below!

  2. You can go out without any problem at 20/21

    Have a great vacation!

  3. South America is a 3rd world continent, you think the clubs down there give a d**n about whether or not you are an adult.

  4. You should have no problemat many of the clubs. Since the legal drinking limit is 18 in those countries that is about the same age in which you can go into clubs and I am sure that more than half of the clubs do not even care about your age, they just care about your business. Sotry to be safe but still have a great time.
