  1. well my baby is 7 weeks old and she follows me around the room.

  2. New born babies can see but their eyes have a fixed focus of only about 25 centimetres, about the distance between the faces of mother and baby during breast feeding; in other words, they are short-sighted.

Babies eye muscles are weak at birth but they become stronger by the age of three months.

By six months babies' eyes have started to work and they will reach for an object they can see.

By the age of one year babies can easily recognise familiar people at a distance, and their eyes are able to follow a fast-moving object.

At three years they have developed all the visual perception of an adult.

    Hope that helped.
