Atention all Crested gecko owners!?

Should I bathe my crested gecko? If so should I use soap?

  1. No, you do not need to bathe your gecko. They can and possibly could drown. Also never put any type of soaps or anything like that on any of your reptiles.

    As long as you mist him daily, he will be fine. Also it's usually rare if they do have shedding problems but if that happens to be the case (it would most likely be the toes or tail) get a little container and fill it with a small amount of lukewarm water. Only allow the water to cover your gecko's toes. Let him soak for about 10-20 minutes (this can help hydrate them if they are dehydrated), then take a wet q-tip and gently remove the shed (do it from the bottom of his foot forward if it's on his toes) Also be careful when removing shed from his tail, if they drop their tail it won't grow back, it won't harm your gecko in any way if he is tailless, most crested geckos in the wild don't have tails.
