Atheist, a bad thing?

Question

Well, i really find it hard to believe there is a higher being then us. I meen, i just idk. It just amazes me that some people believe that if your not "saved" that god is going to d**n you to h**l. I really do not believe that he is going to make you go h**l just because you don't believe in him, i just need some proof. i'm in 9th grade btw, what do you guys think :-/?

Why worry about intangibles when there's enough tangible tragedy we make ourselves? Perhaps if we concentrated on living better and treating each other better here and now, our afterlife, if it exists, would take care of itself.

I think you're on the right path. Keep thinking the way you do. It will come in handy when you get older. It will also save you from a lot of stress.

I started to think deeply into religion after highschool and was fed up since there were so many religions and everyone of them thinks they're the right one.

All I can say is that if there is really is a h**l, then atleast we'll have good company

If I am correct, you learn about evolution in 9th grade. The bible contradicts evolution. That is all the proof you need.

Believe in things you want to believe in, regardless of what other people say. But if you're looking for proof, you're not going to find it.

If you do some research, you'll find evidence against God and whatever. But those of the faith are unconvinced because as they always point out, God is about faith, not science.

Personally, I don't need heaven. Give me oblivion, thanks.

Your instinct is right, there is no proof nor any reason to believe in a higher being. When you die, that's it, so one should try to enjoy oneself here and now, while keeping this place livable for our future generations and fellow species of life.

What do I think, I think you sound like a smart kid, because you're really thinking it out and deciding on your own what you see as legitimate or not.

The only people who think it's a bad thing are the percent of religious people who were raised to believe that we are bad.

Ok i believe in God and in the bible he sends his son to earth Jesus Christ. He died on the cross for us meaning he suffered

large nails through his feet and hands

a spear piercing his liver

being whipped so hard that skin was literally hanging off of his back

ok jesus died for us because he wanted to save us and forgive our sins and he did that.

If you belive in the devil then you obviously should believe in God there is proof of the devil excorcisms,ghosts if you belive in them i don't know if i do. but as a christian we beleive that if you don't belive in jesus christ as your savior then you burn in h**l. we also belive that some thing are beyond our belief. every religion has beyond our belief explanations and even evolution because if we were monkeys then how did the monkeys get created the bible has been passed down for generations and is the longest running religion and if you read the bible it has an explanation for most of your questions you should read it because as a christian its our job to spread the word. plz you have nothing to lose if you become a christian
