  4. Dumb question. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the republic for which it stands one nation under GOD!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. I think it would be nice for him to say he was serving the People, not a Higher Power.

  6. No, never.

An Atheist would want to rewrite our constitution and bill of rights.

  7. It would depend upon there personal values, defining someone because of one thing they believe or don't believe is never a good idea

  8. I would think so.

  9. Depends on the Atheist.

  10. Not if that was the only if that was the only thing they were running on.

"I'm an atheist so vote for me." = Fail

You can be a satanist for all I care, if your a good leader and got the right stuff then you've got my vote.

  11. No

  12. um,no one would elect him/her

  13. YES- but no one would vote for them :[

    put away ur thumbs people

ahahah a chinese would be a really chill president

  14. I say put an agnostic in office. The best of both worlds.

  15. No.. Other countries could fool him easily.

Anyone who believes if I can't see it it don't exist.

I mean if you don't believe in wind .... well

  16. Yes, since he is a thinker rather than a believer in something that cannot be proven.

  17. h**l no what the h**l are u saying

the best president would be a true Christian

  18. Would a Christian be a good president?

  19. Depends. We cannot judge a person's leadership abilities based on their beliefs or non-belief. Either way the public will never vote for an atheist at least not in my lifetime.

  20. no sorry.

  21. Religious views alone do not make a good president.

Although, an Atheist president would probably not be accepted...

So much for being nice to your neighbors.

  22. I think they would be. Ever heard of teh seperation of state and church? Most christian politicians seem to skirt the line between the two....and an atheist wouldn't have that problem.

However....you have to take in to account that 90% of the population is Christian. So, I'm not entirely sure an atheist president would successfully represent the beliefs of the people...which is really what they're suppose to do. The argument to this, of course, is that A Mormon or Jewish (or whatever) president wouldn't properly be able to represent the Christian people either....so I'm not sure how much of a problem that would be.

  23. i think someones personal expression, or lack there of, should not be scrutinized when it comes to political office because of the "separation" of church and state.

    but what do i know....

a president should be chosen by their experience, passion to improve the state of the nation, and their proposed solutions.

  24. Since when do we not have separation of church and State?

  25. Regardless if he's the most qualified candidate ever, and has some amazing policies that will fix the entire world. This country hates people that don't suck on the bible like they do, and as a result, they'll refuse to vote for him.

You could put an Atheist up for president against a pet rock, and the rock will win by a landslide.

  26. sure why not? this country is all about not putting beliefs on people that don't want them (at least we claim that). what's a better president than one that has no beliefs. what harm could he do- he can't s***w our reputation anymore than it already is.
