  1. I don't know any aetheists that would mock anyone for any reason!  They're (myself included) generally pretty open minded and tolerant people.  It's a silly question.

  2. Why argue over who's imaginary friend can beat up your imaginary friend?

  3. Mockery helps nothing, but still comes from both sides.

Cooperation and understanding will "link the void."

  4. I think mocking is only good for achieving the opposite. I think some christians mock atheists and some atheists mock christians as well. i'm not sure if linking the void is possible. the one side generally has the opinion of science, and science is hard to convince unless it is being convinced of fact of which there is evidence or undeniable logically inference indicating so.

and christianity depends on faith, it a priori believes the bible, but more than that, those that are the heads of their information in the area where they live. like their priests, television evangelists, and media.

i think the only way to convince these schools is to change the opinion of the source of their beliefs. I think science would be easier. particularly in our society since profit is the driving force. science makes news and money no matter what the conclusions it finds are. so scientists are strict about not spreading b.s. that will be debunked, because that would ruin its name and reputation.

christianityitself is kind of non-profit, except tv evangelists, aren't, lots of people profit from christianity, the very same people that spread its word. the very same people you would need to convince in order to bridge the gap.

but if it would not be profitable for them, they will not want to hear you out, they would choose not to want to listen to logic. and their followers are loyal no matter what you say. but i think that this sort of behaviour is not privy to christians or religious people, i think it is fairly common among all people, except for scientists, and scientifically minded people.

as for mocking, i don't believe it is ever good behaviour no matter what. I don't like to be mocked, neither does anybody else. nobody is perfect, so there is always somebody that could mock you because of your weakness at something in comparison to them. so by mocking you might as well mock yourself. i find it better to be understanding and treat others as equals, though we are all different. i find mocking usually comes from people that are a little insecure, that want to identify themselves more with a certain group or person so they mock another that is different from themselves and those they want to group with. it's kind of backwards, because mocking is a tool used to obtain strength, but to me it is a sure sign of weakness.

but ya linking the void, i think would always be tough, but nowadays with such strength in media and propaganda, it is probably harder than it would have ever been in any previous era, though possibly safer if done correctly.

  5. No not at all and if you ever find me at it please let me know.

    Mockery isn't my style.

I am not so sure that there is a way to link the void - apaart from talking about the void which we are doing here I find this particular void unlinkable.

I am a really moderate wishy washy and

I have just about decided to put net curtains up on my side of this void so that it doesn't tempt me or remind me.

As others have pointed out  - you only pose the question one way.

    This doesn't help the dynamic.

I can see why mocking is the next step; can you?

  6. Dont confuse blind, bigoted, close-minded anti-theism for anything secular, empirical, or reasoned.

  7. linking the void?

I grew up in a small southern town, graduated with about 50 people.

I was the only atheist.  Mocking was the least of my troubles.

Violence was more than once the method used to "beat the demons" out of me.

So seeing as how an atheist seems to have gotten the best out of you in a linguistic competition, I'm not impressed.

So the best way for you to link the void is to remain always calm, and use reason. Non-religious people are typically known for their capacity to reason instead of assume or follow. So, don't use arguments from a religious scripture. Instead use examples that can be proven. Trying to use the bible to prove the bible is illogical.

  8. If you are an 'Atheist', which I am not.

I just don't believe in the secular, bigoted, sexist and racial slur that is 'Religion'.

How can you believe, that in mocking the little deviates who get some description of gratification.

Out of making non sensical dogma, into ramblings of importance.

Is going to make some sort of Link between, things you don't believe exist
