  1. Because ........It is

That is what you call "Faith".  The belief in something without proof.

  2. Well, for the same reason that "faith" is separate from "fact".

  3. Because it is in most cases.

  4. If you had evidence, you wouldn't need faith.

  5. Um, because that's what religion is.  If anyone had any real evidence for their religion, it wouldn't be religion anymore, it would be science (and better for it).

  6. Faith:  the willful belief in something which is totally unsupported by evidence or which has evidence against it

    Religion:  The practice of faith

    Q.E.D.

  7. I'll take faith for $500.

  8. I believe they mean scientific evidence doesn't support Theism. Personal experience doesn't count as evidence for many people.

  9. Because it's the simple, unvarnished truth.

  10. Because it is.  Even the religious community agrees with that statement.

  11. That is the very definition of "faith."  Religion isn't all about faith. There are traditions and behavioral edicts involved as well. Essentially, religious leaders ask for faith of followers in asking them to follow the desired behavior and traditions. In the best cases this leads to charitable work to help those less fortunate. In the worst cases it leads to war and destruction.

  12. Don't argue with Atheists, most of them will be in h**l someday:-) Worry about your own problems. I wish there was someway that we could convert them, but most of them are too thick-headed and stubborn. The only way they will change is if they find God like I have. I hope you take my advice wisely.
