  1. I think there's a modern support forum for such thinking called "bomb-strappers anonymous" or something look it up...

  2. 1Cr 2:14   But people who aren't Christians can't understand these truths from God's Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them because only those who have the Spirit can understand what the Spirit means.

  3. Learn what?  How to die for an idea?

  4. I've decided not to go with the "martyrs" of Jonestown or Heaven's Gate either, if that's any comfort to you.

  5. atheist have faith. it's we have faith there is no god.atheism is actually a religion it self.

  6. Christians,

Don't be silly or ask questions knowing their answers, it wastes my time, time is valuable for us mortals.

  7. Are you suggesting we should die for something imaginary?

  8. Because that was over 2000 years ago and, honestly, to me, just another event in the Earth's history, spanning hundreds upon hundreds of a million years. I've went to catholic schools 4th-12th grades, but see no reason why I should be in a position to choose between one of the 20 thousand religions on the planet.

  9. Don't need it because I already know what's the fact and fiction.

  10. Didn't they slaughter for it, too?

    Yeah... I'll pass.

  11. I can also learn the same thing from the muslims in the Middle East who were martyred by christians in the crusades.

Sorry, people kill because of their god beliefs.  I think the world would be a better place without these god beliefs.

  12. Because faith is evil.  Indeed, it is the ultimate evil: it is the deliberate refusal to use the one feature that distinguishes our species from all others -- the ability to apply logic to evidence and reach sound conclusions.  Give this up, and you are no better than a wild animal.  There is absolutely no excuse for believing in anything without evidence, and it is a detriment both to oneself and to society at large to do so.

  13. Because I reached the age of reason by my teenage years.

  14. I'm sorry, but I don't see that as faith. I see that as being a bunch of fools.

Just imagine. Dying for a head of lettuce.

BTW Constantin never converted. He died a Pagan. He just created a religion that controlled the masses.

  15. Faith (belief without proof)...  How exactly does one learn faith?  Does it involve being lobotomized?  It sure sounds like it involves being lobotomized...

  16. answer: and what about the thousands that were martyred because they would NOT convert to Christianity?  Does that mean my ancestors were right and the Aesir and Vanir are real?  I mean Kings, Queens, noble and farmers died to stay true to their religion and deities, after all.

  17. The fact that citizens of the Roman Empire martyred themselves for Christianity is hardly a reason to assume the faith.

We should make decisions with today's information and ideas, not the ideas of people who are long since dead.

All in all, the fact that someone else believed enough to die for it isn't enough proof that his beliefs were accurate or worth assuming.

After all, plenty of terrorists had "faith" that what they did in the war in the Middle East and in the September 11th, 2001 attacks was right and was martyrdom, and I'm not about to agree with them!

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying this argument is not logical.

  18. of course the atheists will talk about the crusades, completely ignoring the horrible atrocities comitted by atheists under communism. millions of christians, muslims, jews, buddhists killed in the name of building an atheistic society! what hypocracy!

  19. I don't think murder is one of my strong points.

  20. Because you don't 'learn' faith!  That's contradiction if ever I heard one!

  21. This is only because of Constantine, who had a religious experience and converted to Christianity.

  22. i think the bible is constantine-inspired. not god-inspired.

  23. I think we all know what faith is.

  24. Are you talking about all the non-Christians they slaughtered to start the RCC ? Or about all the 100s of millions christians have caused the deaths of to to perpetuate their hoax while crying persecution ? Because most of the persecution I have seen throughout history has been done by Christians .

    I thought I smelled a jakass .

  25. Because as time passes by we become smarter and realise the truth!!
