In view of the millions of people he killed, his apathy at what is happening in the world, and the accounts of his vengeance in the bible.

  1. yeah I would like to have a little chat about a few things...but i wouldn't become religious, i would simply be the same but a bit angry at "god"!!

  2. Not scary, since there is no evidence for a God. If your God is vengeful he hasn't produced much since Jericho.

  3. Yes. I would live in fear that Zeus would strike me down with a lightning bolt for my years of non-belief

  4. He does exist. Why aren't you scared now?

This isn't a hypothetical question. Fear now.

  5. His people would leave Him continually to follow the religions of others who loved to burn babies in the chest cavities of stone gods (where a furnace was) while performing mass sexual orgies. His people would even provide their own children.  He could have just trashed them all. He seemed pretty lenient to me.

You have never tasted of His wonderful love!

  6. No.  in fact, exactly because of "His" apathy toward what is happening in the world.

  7. Which god? If it is the Bible god ..... ya, that would be very frightening.

  8. If you're talking about the Christian God, then I wouldn't be so much afraid as I would be offended. If we don't give him all the attention he wants, he'll send us to burn in eternal hellfire? Makes himself sound like some spoiled, attention-seeking child.

However, him killing off millions of people (as in the Bible accounts) doesn't add to his "all-loving" image. I view the Biblical God as some sort of tyrant who punishes people if they don't do exactly as he says.

  9. No, I won't be scared. I'll simply convert to a theist.

  10. If that particular fictional character (Yah'weh) was actually the one in charge, it would be a pretty scary world to live in.

In all reality, IF god really did exist; and IF there was a heaven and h**l, I think it is very likely that "god" is actually the evil one usually thought of as satan.... Isn't satan sometimes known as "the father of lies", and 'the great deceiver"?  Considering all the evils sanctioned and committed by god in the OT, I find it far easier to consider him "evil".

  11. I'm thinking Satan was the good one.

  12. I was actually thinking the other day, whilst driving my broken push bike to a bicycle shop, that I would find it funny if jesus actually came to earth, and I actually saw him and everything in the bible was true. I would seriously lol.

  13. Not a bit.  Totally preposterous, ugly and stupid things, like the Judaeo-Christian "God," don't scare me, they annoy and disgust me--and that's with less than no evidence for the existence of such a hotchpotch of villainy, bad taste, and beastly ignorance.  If a wizard or a hypnotist, say, somehow conjured up the illusion of "God the Father. the Son, and the Holy Ghost,"  I would think it was funny, possibly just absurd, but basically contemptible, like the Da Vinci Code--and too absolutely silly to be scary.

  14. It's scary enough the number of people who believe in a maniacal sociopathic god as it is, without His actually being real.

  15. I am happy to say

Man's fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is meaningless.

So I can do literally anything I want and it has no meaning what so ever.  Kinda blows a lot of women's minds because they are always looking for meaning in relationships and asking what I meant by that comment....like meaning existed...lol

  16. It is freacky...mabye the people killed he didnt like?

  17. Depends on what kind of god you're talking about.  If you're talking about the god of the bible, yes it would be scary because the god of the bible is a sadistic jerk and trickster whose main concern is having people kiss his ***.  Fortunately, there's no verifiable evidence that such a god exists.

  18. Thats a very good question.

Once they cross death, it will be too late to undo their mistakes. They will be judged according to how they led their life on earth. One can only imagine the horror that atheists would feel after they die when they realize that their consciousness remains without their physical body.

The God of the Abraham is a vengeful God who will fully repay people what they have earned. When atheists are standing before the One they have been mocking all their lives... who will they count on to protect them from the fire?

A lot of atheists equate their percieved absence of evidence as evidence of absence. That is a great mistake on their part.

  19. In a Christian sense of God -I don't know if I'd be scared so much as angry that a God can have so little understanding and compassion for people who question his authority. I would never willingly follow a God or person that meant harm to those who didn't believe in him, and honestly I think I would find myself fighting against someone like that, as it sounds an awful lot like tyranny,

  20. yeah it would be scary if thor was real cause he got a freakin hammer

  21. Aethists are daredevils..

  22. It's a terrifying thought.

    Thank goodness it isn't true!

  23. Just try reading a small sample of Christian postings on here!!!

Intolerant, egotistical, hate filled and bigoted!! Eschewing education, science, evolution works of fiction and much, much more. Christians are the only religion opposing human rights and persecuting g**s, pro choice and so much more - but far worse whilst they demand freedom of religion they deny it to all non Christians and persecute them!!!

If he existed then surely he would have smote them by now like Sodom and Gomorrah!

Surely it is very apparent that even Christians do not believe in a loving god anymore on here!!

  24. If it were the biblical god, sure. It would be very depressing to think that an all-powerful being would create the entire cosmos, with its infinite vastness and complexity, and then decide he liked the smell of burning goat.

  25. if he did, he would probably be like a kid.

  26. Don't worry, He really does exist.

  27. Not scary. Just boring.
