Atheists and everyone else whose nonreligious, does it surprise you when...?

Question

You see someone whose "goth," "pun," or a complete "anime junkie" and then claims to be a Christian? Does it also surprise you when you see someone who seems to be a Bible-thumper, you know because they dress all conservative and stuff, but then turns out to be a Secularist? I guess I really need to learn not to judge a book by its cover.

I can read what you asked. If you understood what I was asking, you would see why appending that is irrelevant.

Most of the examples you are giving aren't even self defeating. They are just ignorant stereotypes of your own that didn't seem to pan out in reality. You seem to be mocking yourself more than goths and punks and "anime junkies"...

It just shows how religion can be interpreted in many different ways. Which to me cant mean a cast iron belief system.

it dosnt surprise me at all. actually, almost every religious person i know is kind of...different. one is the biggest bully in school, she swears, hits, and spreads false rumors, and she goes to church 3 times a week and sunday school.
