Atheists protest in the 1970s?

I have a question...is this true?

Apparently there were a large group of atheists protesting sometime in the 1970s. They were marching around chanting and holding "god is dead" signs. While they were marching, it started pouring raining and when it stopped, a person pointed out that the ink on the god is dead melted away and all that was left was god is. That is a creepy story for me and it's supposed to be documented but I can't find anything on it. Does anyone know about this?

  1. not true

  2. never heard of it but anything is possible by the way God is capital G not god

  3. Anything is possible, but what is the chance that any of the people present would be reading this to give you an answer of "yes" if it really did happen?

  4. Sounds like one of those stories christian parents tell their kids. Here's another.

"A biology class sat listening to their biology teacher who was a firm atheist. At the beginning of class he said 'there is no God because there is no proof of God. Have you seen God? Heard God? Touched God?' At this, one of the students stood up and said "Has anyone seen the teacher's brain? has anyone heard it? felt it? Well then, the teacher must not have a brain!'"

    Classic isnt it?

  5. doubt it. just another story to SCARE you into believing god.
