  1. atheists should show respect to christians for their beliefs and christians should show respect to atheists for not believing in something. just like the christian bible says, we should treat others how we would want them to treat us. religious intolerance just leads to problems.

  2. Cant we just all be friends?

  3. Atheist here!

Christians are usually good people. It's the crazy ones (you know the ones, the ones who rant about evolution, but can't define the term) who make Christians look bad.

  4. As a Christian I am concerned with being a Christian and being obedient myself.  I speak the gospel to those that are interested, and leave the rest to take care of themselves.  They are no concern of mine.

As Revelations says, " 11He that is unrighteous, let him do unrighteousness still: and he that is filthy, let him be made filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him do righteousness still: and he that is holy, let him be made holy still. 12Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to render to each man according as his work is. "

  5. Well if stephanie is any example of the christian love, I dunno. My best friend is a christian, she's sweet, lovable and everything you would want in a friend.

  6. Athiesm is the belief that there isnt a higher order, or God, and that after death there is no other life for that person. I think athiests just haven't experienced any type of spirituality yet, and maybe felt hurt by the religious communities, and decided to take it to the other extreme of having no faith in anything after death. I can understand why they wouldn't believe in even the possiblity of a God, or afterlife like agnostics, but I feel they should be more open minded and understand that there are alot of undiscovered truths, and that everything really does seem to point toward a creator more than it doesnt. You cannot create something out of nothing. Just like we're the gods of our own creations, something did create us and everything in the universe around us. Also nothing is destroyed or lost, it is only changed, so what about our lives? Our bodies may go into the ground and be changed in the earth, but something like a spirit could still be changed into something else not in the ground. Something like reading or learning about neardeath experiences, or spiritual experiences that people have had, might be a good place to start learning.

  7. A majority of the Christians I know are decent, warm-hearted people.  Then there's that minority who are really funny and inspire alot of satire...

  8. I have absolutely no problems with anybody until they start attacking me, that is. I am just here to kill time and have fun. I am sure that if I met any of you in real life, we could have intelligent conversation and not even talk about religion.

  9. Stephani ( the first answerer ) is an example :

INTOLERANT ,BIGOTED ,UNEDUCATED ,IGNORANT , FUNDIE ,BAD SPELLING , DELUDED ETC...

Note : but there are SOME GREAT CHRISTIANS OUT THERE ;)

Arie J : WILL YOU SHUT UP ? THIS IS NOT YOUR LIFE STORY ? I HAVE HEARD THE SAME STORY FROM MANY CHRISTIAN FUNDIES , IT'S A LIE !

  10. As an atheist, my concerns about christians are that they get so worked up when someone  challenges their faith.

Notice I call it faith, because that is all it is.

Christians have chosen to believe all that has been rammed down their throats by religious leaders.

Their entire faith is based on the Bible,  a book that was written 2 millenium ago and has not been updated since. Imagine doctors referring to 2,000 year old manuals.Christians base their lives around the Bible despite the fact that it is surely based on folklore.

Christians are entitled to their faith, but they should keep it to themselves and not expect their beliefs to be a basis of political or moral rulings.

Don't tell me I can't do something because God would not approve. God does not exist in my opinion so I don't want him interfering in my life

  11. A Christian.  I love atheists.  I don't get worked up when they challenge my faith as the one fellow said.  If they are challenging me, then it must be an invitation to witness.  Why else would they bother?  The Bible gives the edict to go out and evangelize the world.  I don't really do my part unless someone approaches me.

  12. I have been both.  I'm Christian now.

Myself as an Atheist (for 20 years) I was deluded and brainwashed by secular society.  I thought I was different, a militant evolutionist with tattoos and my own opinion on things but in reality I was just brainwashed to believe what TV taught me to believe with it's anti-Christian/God messages.  I hated Christians because I thought that everything people told me was right.

It wasn't until I read the Bible until I realized I was wrong.

It takes true humility to find out you're wrong and accept it.  And only few people have what it takes to realize that and accept God.  Pride is everyone else that doesn't know God's religion - athiest or not.

  13. i really think there brainwashed shrews that are brainwashed enough to belive the first woman eve was created from the first man adams rib thats right eve was made from adams rib. and how they can obiediently obey such a hateful book

  14. the christians i know are friendly people who are great friends. They believe in god but dont follow the church or the bible as strongly.

  15. Well, I have Atheist friends, but from what I've seen on Yahoo, lots of them think that we Christians are brainwashed idiots, but not all.  Like Back on My Own Demand, up there.  What he doesn't realise is that HE'S the one being stupid right now by insulting Christians:)  AND Rokky B. lol!!!

And as I've said, as a Christian, I've had Atheist friends anyway, and I sort of feel frustrated or sorry for them sometimes, but I don't put them down or not treat them as equal humans or anything!

  16. In general I used to be ambivalent in respect to christians and religion. After the World Trade Center destruction, I no longer saw religion as a benign presence in the U.S. or the world. In general I think we dumbly ignored religion as many of it's adherents have radicalized over the past 50 years.

  17. Depends on the christian

and on the atheist (haven't met one I really didn't like, but it's possible)

  18. I think they need to come to my church.  The first week, you don't even have to put any money in the collection plate or get dunked in the water tank.

  19. the christians i know in real life are nice...the christians on here are just funny

  20. I am an atheist and have been since age 7.

To the person sayind Atheists are homosexuals, I have known of many many Christian homosexuals, though very few atheist ones.

But as to my opinion of Christians. The vast majority are tolerant, understanding and educated. I like them very much and see them as a credit to their beliefs.

But there are a small handful of hate mongering "Christians"  (emphasis on quotes, because I really hate mixing them with the majority of true Christians)  That make the religion even worse than al Queada Muslims and a laughing stock to all other beliefs including those afore mentioned True Christians.

  21. athiests are athiests and christians are christians....there is NO difference...cant we just be FRIENDS??

    HAHA....

  22. Atheists, Christians, what are your thoughts on xcarlymeganx?

  23. I have no issues with atheists in general.  Most of them are great people.  I married an atheist, and my MIL is an atheist.  Most of my friends are atheists (or pagan).

But some of the atheists on here aren't so wonderful.  See some of the answers above.  And please note, I said SOME atheists; there are many atheists on here whom I have nothing but love for.  But there are those others who like to generalize, stereotype, and insult... and do it all with this disgusting holier-than-thou condescending attitude.  I wish they'd stop calling themselves atheists.  They give the good atheists, of which there are many, a bad name.

  24. OMG, this is going to be fun.

I think atheist are IGNORANT.  I'm sure they are very intelligent outside of the R&S section.

What can I say?  Religion and spirituality are not their forte?

Oh, you all are playing nice.  Most atheist on this section are christian bashers and you all know it.  I've been in this section long enough to know.

  25. They need to learn about thew Jesus from getting some churchin up and such and the like.

  26. Atheists hate that we know the truth and accept Jesus into our lives! We have God on our side. They have the flying monster on their side. They are jealous.

  27. I am Atheist, and whilst i accept that there is such a thing as a liberal educated christian, the majority of them are blinkered, intolerant, narrow minded, bigoted, hypocritical, homophobic, self-righteous, pious, sanctimonious, insular, condescending, patronizing, ignorant, arrogant, holier than thou idiots.
