  1. Why do you assume a "who" did it?  How often do you beat your wife?  Same kind of question - prejudicial.

  2. Atheists stayed awake in school and did not get their minds closed by religion!

Therefore they know that the universe started from a singularity which contained all matter which then rapidly expanded.

But whilst pointing to peoples mistakes does not make them smarter it can be argued that recognizing the mistakes makes them smarter than the person making the mistakes and not realizing it!!

On top of that science has shown atheists have a higher intelligence than people with a strong religious faith. The difference is 5.8 points according to findings in developmental psychology!!!

More members of the "intellectual elite" considered themselves atheists than the national average.

Only 7 percent of members of the American National Academy of Sciences believed in God. Whilst only 3.3 percent believed in God in the UK’s Royal Society.

Several Gallup poll studies of the general population have shown that those with higher IQ’s tend not to believe in God."

Evolution in action with Christians getting left behind like the monkeys and apes before them!!!

  3. Atheists:

    Just throwing this out there...

WOULD you or would you not agree that every design HAS to have a designer??

    The human body...a design

    The Earth....a design

    The universe...a design

SOO wouldn't it all have to be designed BY a designer??

  4. i am not atheist but i think they believe that it just came to be naturally

  5. If we thought there was a "who" involved, we wouldn't be atheists.

  6. I made you up, you didn't make me up, you got i backwards.  You know what you are?  You're semantic blockage, that's what made you up...

Be happy I let you live here

  7. Sarah Palin

  8. Good question. What atheists need to consider is that mind and being result from the matter and energy of the brain. Hence, being is an intrinsic property of the universe, and that implies a higher Being.

  9. matter and energy has always existed in one form or another

There is no evidence whatsoever to suggest some intelligent entity created energy, to suggest so would create more questions than it answers.

The simplest solution is usually the correct one. Energy/matter has always been and always will be.

Human existence is nothing but one form of that energy and a blink of an eye in the eternal interactions of energy in the Universe.

  10. ... i don't know.

wait... then it MUST have been god! (now THAT'S logic)

all these years as an atheist and it just took one well phrased question to wake my spirituality up again.  oh lordy lordy i never wander again.

do preachers have a conversion leaderboard?  if so chalk yourself up one.

  11. not who, but what..or rather how it was created. i have no idea how it was created though because i don't think we will ever know

  12. I suppose I could give you a few possibilities...

    1. Multiverse

    2. The Universe "Generator"

    3. Infiniverse (infinite chain of cause and effect)

    4. Personal God

    5. Impersonal God

    6. "Brute Fact" (the universe just is)

Those are some possibilities, there are surely more.  I tend to not favor supernatural explanations as they haven't been very successful in the past with things that we were equally clueless about such as biodiversity.

Also one more possibility is that it came from nothing.  That one seems the most interesting to me personally.  Many people call this absurd but calling something absurd isn't an argument, and obviously there is more reasoning behind the idea.  BUT! the problem with that is that the universe could be the product of something grander and that certainly seems to be the pattern.

  13. I strongly say it was the lord himself, now if your asking what lord? or what was his name, It can be any lord you choose in any religion, afterall god is only one. You have a tree and then branches, well for example god is that tree and the branches are the different religions we the people believe in today. So i personally respect all religions because god is only one.

  14. I truly don't know, and I don't see why a ''who/whom/why'' should matter. But perhaps, the matter and energy that created the universe has always existed...it did not have a creator.

  15. No "who" created the universe.  "What" crated the universe.

The universe was created from a big bang after a singularity of very large mass exploded (due to forces caused by higher dimensions as per String Theory).

What came before that?  The singularity was formed from a large black hole which engulfed the entire universe before it.  The process repeats again and again and again.

Look, it doesn't matter how the "first" one started or when the last one will be, the point of life is to accomplish what we can given our timeframe and let the forces in the universe run their course.

  16. Nothing created it. It was coincidence after coincidence that aligned over time through probability that changed gradually and sometimes abruptly causing the evolution and expansion of our eternal Universe.

  17. Troll. Nobody is this stupid.

  18. Nobody.  Or if you won't believe that, I did it.

Edit:  I don't know the answer.  When we don't have enough information to answer a question, why can't we just say that we don't know?  I don't see where "God" answers the question better than anything else.  Where did God come from?

  19. there are no straight lines in the universe. Everything goes in a circle, space-time too. The universe has always been, will always be.

  20. Creationists insist that it is possible for something to exist without being created, God.  It  makes just as much sense to leave God out and say that the Universe didn't need to be created, that it always was and always will be.

  21. Expansion of a singularity, of the same sort (but on a vastly larger scale) than those that arise from Heisenberg;s uncertainty principle in the vacuum.  See:

  22. Christians...who do you think created God?

it works both ways.  you say 'God's always been there'

Atheists say 'the energy and matter have always been there'

    it's a no-win situation

  23. Nobody knows how the universe was formed which is why god was invented to fill in the blanks until science has filled it in itself but that will take time to do

  24. INCOMING s**+TSTORM

  25. GOD is a concept which has created mankind, this earth, sun, trees, planets, water and everything visible or non-visible (i.e. air, demons and angels, h**l and heaven etc). If there is a power which we all believe in and that has created all this universe, why can't it be seen??

Now, I ask you a question. Who gave you birth?? Your Mother and Father right! If you can see the creator of your physical body, i.e. your Father and Mother, then why can't you see the creator of your soul and this whole universe. In fact, it is the birth right of every human being to see GOD!!

You can see your parents thru your physical eyes, right! But GOD can't be seen by these Physical eyes! There is a third eye that is needed to be opened in order to see the GOD. Just like butter is there in the milk itself, but it can only be extracted thru a special process, as is fire is present in wood, but there is a special process needed to bring it out, i.e. rubbing it. That is how GOD can only be seen thru third eye or divine eye which is present in every human being.

That third eye can be opened by a perfect master only!

Now the good news, you can see GOD too. Visit http://divyajyoti.org/

Or if u want to ask any more questions, u r most welcome!!...Good Luck... :-)

  26. Ignorance in this question. Peanuts created peanut butter. A man discovered it.

  27. "The Hindu Concept of "Creation"

The discoverers of these laws are called Rishis, and we honor them as perfected beings. I am glad to tell this audience that some of the very greatest of them were women. Here it may be said that these laws as laws may be without end, but they must have had a beginning. The Vedas teach us that creation is without beginning or end. Science is said to have proved that the sum total of cosmic energy is always the same. Then, if there was a time when nothing existed, where was all this manifested energy? Some say it was in a potential form in God. In that case God is sometimes potential and sometimes kinetic, which would make Him mutable. Everything mutable is a compound, and everything compound must undergo that change which is called destruction. So God would die, which is absurd. Therefore there never was a time when there was no creation.

If I may be allowed to use a simile, creation and creator are two lines, without beginning and without end, running parallel to each other. God is the ever active providence, by whose power systems after systems are being evolved out of chaos, made to run for a time and again destroyed. This is what the Brahmin boy repeats every day: "The sun and the moon, the Lord created like the suns and moons of previous cycles." (1)And this agrees with modern science." -Swami Vivekananda.

  28. You're new here aren't you? No one created it and God didn't create squat ****!

  29. either an energy that evolved and the big bang cycle after

    or the big bang cycle

  30. Assuming "who" is the first mistake.  You look at the evidence and see what it indicates.  So far there is no indication of a "who" in the massive amounts that we have.
