Athens, OH Paranormal Experiences?

Question

I lived in Athens for 2 years and had quite a few paranormal experiences there, any of you have any such experiences? Did they increase around Halloween (if you were sober enough to notice ;-)?

I've never understood why scary things are supposed to scare away other scary things!! Even at the Vatican they have those "gorgoils" ...I would think they'd scare away good spirits not bad spirits. I'd think bad spirits would be used to scary things.

I never had any there, only visited one weekend but I have heard stories that it is a very active area from the person I visitied.

I live in athens since i was born.

i've seen paranormal phenomena twice.

the one was inside my neighbourhood, the other inside my house...

none of them at a certain period...

really, it's foolish to be under the impression that such things occur in certain place and time... either you are in athens or in peru, if you are to see a ghost you'll see it. no matter if it's halloween or x-mas..! :)

Actually, drunk or not, it remains a known fact in certain circles that during/around/on Halloween the veil between the Inner World (spirits) and Outer World (physical) is thinner. This is what initially sparked the traditional 'ugly' costumes -- the uglier the better as to frighten off any spirit who might be able to cross the veil during Halloween.

So it would be expected that the 'activity' would increase.
