Title says it all, one minute it was connected to my wireless network, then suddenly it was limited connectivity, so i turned my wireless switch off then back on. I have a Toshiba Satellite L40.

When i turned wireless connectivity back on, the light next to the switch didn't come on, looked at network connections and there was only Ethernet.

I went on device manager, and the driver for the wireless adapter wasnt there at all :S

  1. I am having this issue.  Its not a loose connection because windows picks up the etwork card, Just says theres no networks. Its really annoying.  Atheros have ignored this for 4 years now and I will never buy anything by their company.  However my GF's Laptop has this Network card and its not working AGAIN.  I give up with Atheros, the worst name in computer Netwirking.

  2. This seems to be a widespread problem, it has affected my Packard Bell (essentially Acer) laptop sporadically. A reboot does not help, however shutting down the system then turning back on fixes everything. It seems to happen at the most inconvenient times and no firmware upgrade or anything can fix it.

  3. I have the same problem with my MSI EX600 laptop with same network adapter
    Atheros AR5007EG. Please someone help!!!
