This past weekend, an American Olympic medalist had to return her medals she won in Sydney because it was found she was using performance enhancing drugs.

Has anyone ever had to return a Nobel Peace Prize because they had won it under bogus circumstances? I mean, Jimmy Carter got one in the 80's for "bringing peace to the Middle East". It looks like Al Gore is going to get one for global warming (what does global warming have to do with peace?). When global warming is finally determined to be bogus, will Al have to return the prize?

  1. Henry Kissinger might consider giving his back.

  2. America is the land of the "make up new laws as we go"! Global warming is just a theory, so I am not sure why that Olympic gold medalists can't keep the medal since they won it by their own theoretical means.  Sometimes we get caught up in such silly things.

  3. milli vanilli

  4. Personally......I think this is wrong.   It's one thing to break a law...when there was one......another when it wasn't.

If every famous person had to hand back something because of something they did wrong.........there wouldn't be many left to appreciate.
