Athletic tape help!?

ok, this summer i have already sprained my wrist, really badly, the doctor thought it was broken, I have been in a brace for 2 wks, and its btr now, but it still hurts to be in like a pushup position, and 2 open a car door, carry shoppin bag etc, so it will probably hurt 2 play vball with, i kno i can use atheltic tape BUT its on mi wrist so would that be illegal? cuz i kno there is a rule about nothing on your wrist so could i wear it? cuz im doing vball camp @ the end of july and i want 2 go out for the freshmen vball team @ mi HS i luv vball and dont want mi wrist 2 be a prob, I can do stuff with it, but mi mom is also freaking about me re-hurting it, so could i wear the tape? PLEASE HELP!!!

  1. Athletic tape has been made for problems like yours with your wrist.

    There should be absolutely no problem with having it on your wrist, I sprianed and almost broke some fingers, and I wore tape on my fingers for almost every game in the season, and there was no problem with it.  

    But make sure that teh refs  know that it is an injury, and that you aren't just wearing tape because its a fashion statement!

Athletic tape is not illegal.  Casts and hard splints are illegal.  Anything that can be possibly harmful to you or your teammates would be illegal.  It would also be illegal if the referees thought you were taping your wrist just to help your passing.  If it is just athletic tape and it is on your wrist, the referees should be able to figure it out and allow it.
