Question:

Athletics for next year?

Hey You Guys!!

I was wondering... next year I am going to be in 7th grade. And I can either do Regular P.E. or Athletics. On my options for next year I put I wanted to do Regular P.E. but now that I think of it, I want to try out for the volleyball team. But on the other hand I don't want to be in off season if I don't make the volleyball team (Ya Know What I Mean). Ummm... I don't know what to do. "HELP!!"

-- Off season at my school is when you don't make a team but you tried out so now you have been accepted in Athletics but then instead of on a team you are in off season so you have to work out like every day and once a week you have to run a mile.

-- I got some good advice from one of my friends mom. And she said "I would really encourage her to try out for athletics. I really believe that she will make the teams and be an asset to them."

I'd say go for athletics...mostly because i think you should try out for vball if you want to, do what you wnat to do and if you happen not to make the team being in the atheltics program will only help you and you might make the team the next year...not makin a team isn't the biggest loss in the world especially in grade 7, classic example is Micheal Jordon, he didn't make his highschool basketball team and look how he turned out...and i didn't make my volleyball team until grade 9 and now i play for my unversity

    vball is a great sport, go for it and if you don't make it use the atheltics program to improve for next year

  3. i would do athletics because it wold probably keep you in better shape (not saying your not in shape but yea know what i mean), work you harder, and keep you prepared for try outs the next year!!!!

  4. well u need a physical in order 2 tryout

    but say if u make the team, the school is gonna change ur scedule so u can be put into athletics.  but if u dont make the team dont worry the are not gonna put u in athletics.

    i made 7th grade v-ball team & after it was over i got put into 2 off season. it can be tough at points, but the workouts the coaches give u is so that u can stay fit!

    at my school we usally run the mile on mondays, do weight room tuesday, wensday we ually go out & run, thursday is weight room & friday we usally play games like 1 that is called knight ball!

    but if u dont want 2 be in off season tryout 4 every sport like 4 example-v-ball, basketball, & track(thats wat im doing 4 8th grade :) & usally after track the coaches will be soft on yall.

  5. i am in the seventh grade this year and i chose p.e. and i still could do all the sports. p.e. is easier and still keeps you active. in athletics you have to do leg curcuits every day and i hear they hurt. a lot. if you want to do p.e. just make sure you do at least one sport to keep you in shape and do some extra excersises at home. not saying yo have to excersise all the time, just dont go home and pig out on junk foods. (:
