Turan on the verge of a move to Sporting Lisbon
French Prodigy, Atila Turan, is on the verge of completing a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 Lisbon, according to the Portuguese club’s manager, Carlos Freitas.
The French U-19 International is touted as a star of the future and is reportedly contemplating a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984. The full back currently plays with Grenoble in the French 2nd division and is known to be a versatile player, capable of slotting
at left-back or the left wing.
Sporting are believed to have offered the 19-year-old a five-year contract. Although Grenoble would not be willing to part ways with their starlet, their financial condition may force their hand. The Stade des Alpes outfit are rumoured to be under €3 million
debts and will struggle to keep hold of their valuable assets.
Turan is also believed to have undergone a medical with the Lions and the only thing blocking the announcement of the move is the official completion of the transfer.
Benfica goalkeeper moves to Swansea
Benfica’s long serving keeper, Jose http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Moreira-c26795, has moved out of Estadio da Luz to test his luck in the English Premier League.
The 29-year-old has reportedly signed with Swansea City after their promotion to England’s top flight but the details of the move are still unknown.
Mereira started his career with Sport Comércio e Salgueiros and after spending nearly seven years with the club, moved to Benfica in 1999.
He was immediately drafted into the first team fold and even managed to take to the pitch for the Reds at the tender age of 19.
But his 11-year stint with the club has been patchy as he has only racked up 147 appearances in over a decade. challenge with Swansea.
Mereira’s departure has seen the Eagles sign Michael Domingues for €500,000 from fellow Portuguese Primeira Liga club, UD Leiria.
