Atlanta Braves’ Brandon Beachy excited about the beginning of his throwing program-MLB Update
Starting pitcher for Atlanta Braves, Brandon Beachy is upbeat to get back to his prime form as a pitcher. He has begun throwing pitches from the mound after surgery.
He is so excited that it appears as if he is doing his Major League debut.
In light of the fact that he reluctantly had to miss out on the greater part of the 2012 regular season, he is desperate to return. He wants to rehabilitate as soon as possible and becomes part of the Braves in their campaign for 2013 Major League regular
season.
It was disheartening for Beachy when he was removed from the season due to the fact that he suffered a severe injury.
He was on his way to experiencing one of the best seasons of his career before being put on the disabled list. In-fact, he was among the leading performers for the Braves.
If he had stayed, he would have helped them immensely in the latter half of the season.
Beachy admits that he is passionate about making a comeback but he fears that if he does not follow the plan strictly he may end up costing himself. Due to this, he is exercising a deliberate control on his penchant to play and is trying to be in line with
the throwing program.
“I’m not patient at all,” Beachy said. “So it’s better for me not to know when that’s coming than to sit here and think about it and get even more anxious.”
Inclusion of Beachy in the Braves’ rotation can go a long way in strengthening their depth. If he recovers expeditiously and returns next year somewhere around midseason break, he can prove to be a real asset for the team.
His ability to throw complete games and be economical can deliver wins to the Braves on consistent basis. Along with Tim Hudson and Kris Medlen, he can hand the Braves’ rotation a status of being among the most formidable ones in the National League.
The Braves will be observing his throwing sessions closely and will be hoping that he improves quickly. It will be interesting to see as to at what stage of the season Beachy joins the Braves next year.
