Atlanta Foreclosure Tours?

Does anyone know or have been on one of the foreclosure bus tours here in Atlanta? What do they show? How much do they cost? I'm interested in investing in some foreclosures or short sales here in the atlanta area and figured this would be a good place to begin my search.

  1. Bob Wood Realty is offering foreclosure bus tours free of charge.  On top of the foreclosure/home tour being free, they offer an excellent, informative homebuyer's seminar on board the bus while you travel from one home deal to the next.  Since there is no charge for their tours, they only get paid to represent you if they find you a great deal that you want to put under contract.  Plus, the seller pays the real estate fee if you decide to purchase; this is much better than purchasing at auction where you end up paying the 5-10% fee yourself.  So, you have absolutely nothing to lose!  The worst thing that can happen is you'll walk away better educated about the Atlanta real estate market, including how to protect yourself when purchasing short sales, foreclosures, and other perceived good deals that may not be so good.  The company has been in business for 35+ years and is a name you can trust in the industry.  It's a family business, and they truly make you feel comfortable, even when asking what you think is a "dumb" question on the tour.  No pressure to purchase.  Check them out at www. househunterstour.com or go to www.bobwood.com.  If they don't have a tour in your area of interest, they will schedule a personal tour for you - customer service at its best - still at no obligation to purchase.  I think you'll be well rewarded for your time spent.  Have fun and good luck!
