Atletico Madrid general manager, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, admitted that the club’s debt issues will be solved if Falcao is sold for €60m but he is not going anywhere this season.
The economic downturn in Europe is still hanging around and it has certainly affected the general public and glamorous football clubs alike.
But there are clubs in Europe with deep pockets that are on the hunt for talented players and who are willing to spend big if any such star catches their attention.

certainly solve all their debt issues at the moment.
However, general manager, Angel Marin, reassured the club and fans that their hitman is not going to be sold and that he is going nowhere for at least this season.
“In Europe there are 50 clubs with higher earnings than us and if we sold Falcao for €60m then yes it would solve our debts.” he said.
“Falcao will stay here, certainly until the end of the season. He will be staying and everyone else the Coach wants to stay will do so,” assured Gil Marin.
