After his phenomenal performances with the Spanish side, a number of elite European clubs were after the striker, but Atletico Madrid are not ready to let him go yet.

Falcao, alone, helped Atletico Madrid touch dizzying heights. Even though he could not take them to the top four of the Spanish La Liga; neither could he help them in the Copa Del Rey, but he still managed to take his side into the final of the Europa League.
Falcao was the star of the show for Porto a year ago, when he helped them become Europa League winners. And he repeated his heroics after joining Atletico Madrid, taking them to the final of the Europa League, scoring a brace, and winning the trophy for
the second consecutive time.

Even though the former Porto man can help Atletico Madrid earn a lot of cash, especially with teams like Real Madrid and Manchester City on their back, but recently the Spanish team announced that they are not willing to sell their star player off.
Atletico Madrid’s sporting director addressed the press and explained how the club is not willing to part company with its star striker, Radamel Falcao, who has only spent a single season with the Spanish club.
While speaking about Radamel Falcao’s future, Atletico Madrid’s sporting director, Jose Luis Caminero, said:
“Falcao will remain at Atletico Madrid and any talk of an exit is misplaced. The club has very clear ideas on this.”
“The striker will remain with us next season and we are not considering any other possibility.”
