Atletico Madrid found it hard to drive past Celtic in their Europa League group stage fixture. Playmaker Diego was happy at qualification for the knockout round, a goal they had set for themselves.
Diego was ecstatic after the win and let his views know. He said that they have achieved a goal they set out for and it will be helpful in earning the trust of Atleti fans, as well as boosting the morale of the players.

Celtic coach, Neil Lennon, was unhappy with the result of the match. He stated that they should have won the match and let his frustrations known.
However, he praised Atletico for their efforts and stated that his team played against a team of top quality.
He also highlighted the performance of Samaras and Beram Kayal, reflecting that they were the best players on the pitch.
"There were some brilliant performances. Samaras and Kayal were two of the best players in the field. With a little luck we should have won the game."
