It is reported that Los Rojiblancos will be offering their star striker to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 for less than the buy-out clause to shake off interest from rivals, Real Madrid.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276 is regarded as one of the finest strikers in the whole wide world. Since his burst to the main stage at F.C Porto which saw him win a continental treble, a number of top clubs have continuously been linked to sign the prolific goal-scorer.
Since his move to the Spanish capital, Falcao’s abilities have even nurtured and in his name one feels a force.
The striker has gone on to score in abundance in the league, grabbing 16 goals in just 14 outings for his club. These figures also include an amazing 5-goal haul against Deportivo La Coruna last weekend.
Falcao is currently 2nd in the La Liga goal scoring charts, just trailing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629.
The main point of concern for Atletico is that in case they fail to keep hold of their star striker, they would certainly like to avoid the prospect of Falcao signing for their bitter rivals.
The interest shown by Real Madrid is enough to worry Atletico, and the meeting of Falcao and Florentino Perez at a dinner also sparked controversy, linking the Madrid President to make a move for the Colombian hit-man.
Atletico’s league position is too good to give away their pride, and as history proves, they will do everything to avoid the sale to their neighbours.
Sergio Aguero’s example must be kept in mind as the Argentine’s move from Atletico to Manchester City was seen by Maradona (Aguero’s father in-law) as a way-paving move, finally leading to destination Real Madrid.
It is reported that Perez already has a deal in place with the striker’s camps and will be looking for the Colombian to pile pressure on his club, to let the move materialise.
This is where European champions Chelsea come in to the story, and to avoid Real Madrid meeting the buy-out clause of the striker, Atletico will be willing to offer Falcao to Chelsea for something less than that amount.
It all now depends on how keen the free flowing goal scorer is on a move to the Spanish giants. If he is determined to make a controversial move to Santiago Bernabeu, there’s not much that can be done by the Atletico board, and they may fall victim to a
tactic of friendly newspapers once again.
