The Spanish side are working towards renewing the contracts of their coach Diego Simeone and two players, believed to be Adrian Lopez and Joao Miranda.
Following their brilliant start to the new campaign, Atletico Madrid have decided to renew the contracts of their three above mentioned properties, in order to secure them from being approached by elsewhere.
Diego Simeone’s arrival at Vicente Calderon has surely lifted everyone who is associated with the Rojiblancos. Atletico find themselves in a fairly proud position, as they stand 2nd in La Liga standings, just trailing table toppers http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604.
Another fact that has had the Rojiblancos supporters brimming with pleasure is that their team lies ahead of fierce city rivals Real Madrid, and such a position hadn’t shaped up over the past many years.
The performances of certain players are also seen as instrumental behind the capital sides’ recent heroics, and amongst those considered vital are striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Miranda-c25988.
The club has hence identified the need to tie down the three to new contracts so as to reduce the chance of other clubs coming in calling for their prized assets.
It is reported that Diego Simeone has already agreed terms with the club’s board and has reached an agreement to sign a new deal with Los Rojiblancos; however the deal is supposed to be kept under the wraps till early 2013.
Brazilian defender Miranda is also believed to be entering advanced talks with the negotiators, and is keen on seeking a 3 year extension to his current contract with the club willing to offer only a two year extension.
Adrian Lopez, who was considered as a bad boy in terms of signing a new contract, has reportedly changed agents and it is now believed that talks with the camp of the striker have now opened up.
Recent reports suggest that Jorge Mendez now represents the attacker and is handling the matter. A wage improvement is expected where as Atletico are also keen on increasing the 18 million Euro buyout clause of the striker.
For Atletico, the tying down of the three is seen as necessary as they look to take their form from the start of the season and mark a memorable campaign for the Rojiblancos’ fans.
