Atmanna determined to break maiden at Yarmouth
If we analyse the way Atmanna fought in her last start over the good to firm surface of Brighton, we shall have every reason to believe that the Clive Brittain trained brown filly can easily break her maiden in the Thomas Prior Memorial Maiden Stakes, scheduled
to be held at Yarmouth on Tuesday, September 18.
Though it will be an arduous challenge for the three-year-old novice filly to run and win over 6 furlongs and 3 yards against five competitors, but she is expected to cope with it by applying her sheer stamina and the excellent skills she learnt during the
last three months. The ground condition too suits well to her. Thus, she has every chance to register her first success.
Atmanna debuted in September 2011. After finishing 8th in her maiden race, entitled as Eventmasters.co.uk E B F Maiden Fillies' Stakes, she disappeared from the sport arena.
During this period, the trainer administered many useful techniques on her and passed her through some grueling drills so that she gained momentum.
The daughter of Manduro out of Samdaniya returned to action in May 2012. The improvement was visible in her as she ran confidently and finished third in the Weatherbys Bloodstock Insurance Maiden Stakes.
In order to build up on that momentum, Brittain took her off the field once more. Today, the young sprinter is going to run her third race. Hopefully, she has improvised her stamina to a great extent.
The Saeed Manana owned filly will run under Ted Durcan to break her maiden. This jockey excellently drove Mafeteng to win Castles UK Educational And Residential Furniture Stakes (Handicap) on September 9.
Thus, the whole situation goes to Atmanna’s favour. All eyes are hinged on her and most of the punters have staked money for her success.
Not equal to Atmanna, but Enthrall too poses to be a strong candidate. The Phil McEntee trained bay filly finished 4th in her last start named as Yourracingsecret.co.uk Maiden Fillies' Stakes.
A rip-roaring battle is imminent in the race. This will be exciting to watch for the spectators. Good luck to Atmanna.
