Atmospheric High, the safest choice in Dundalk Stadium - Light Up Your Night Rated Race
A total of 14 horses have entered the Dundalk Stadium - Light Up Your Night Rated Race at Dundalk on Friday, hunting a handy prize of €5,520. Most of the participants could be competitive, but the preference goes to the reliable, Atmospheric High, who is
in fine fettle these days.
The 4-year-old showed great form on her previous five starts here. On October 26th, she upset several big names to secure the first place in the Christmas Party Nights at Dundalk Handicap (Div I). The Edward Lynam-trained failed to continue her
winning journey, but wasn’t disgraced on the previous two occasions.
In an intense affair here on November 9th, she finished fourth on the table - missing the podium only by a neck’s distance. She further raised her game to secure a place among top-3 in the Christmas Parties At Dundalk Handicap (Div I) at the end
of last month.
Having done well here in the past lately, the daughter of Hurricane Run looks the most likely winner today. The Ms Aileen Lynam-owned is facing no easy task. The opposition is really strong, thus she needs to give more than one hundred percent.
The race is due to be run over a distance of one mile and four furlongs. The officials will start the proceedings at 19:30 GMT.
Among the major dangers to Atmospheric High are: Silver Shuffle, Moo Sahara and Moveable Asset. The former of the three is running consistently these days. After securing a comfortable win in August, Willie Mullins’ trainee carried forward his momentum,
and captured the runner-up place in his last two encounters.
Moo Sahara should not be judged on her last start. Ahead of losing here last month, the 3-year-old bagged a narrow triumph over Urban Ball in October. She puts a tick in the ´distance´ column, and looks one of the principals.
Silver Shuffle likes it here, and has some sort of a chance on the figures. The 5-year-old is running well without having much success. So, he needs an element of luck to register his first win since October 2010. We wish the best of luck to all the contenders.
