Att/cingular sim card wont work?

Question

my phone will turn on, but it says insert sim card even though its already in there. i know its not the phone, because i put a different sim card in, and it worked fine. my sim card just stopped working all of the sudden today. can i get a new sim card free? should i go to the cingular store?

If you visit an at&t owned store they will give you a SIM card for free.  Here is the store locator.  http://www.wireless.att.com/find-a-store...
